Body:

My first counter with Android mobile phone comes when my eyes got stuck to see ZTE Blade. I saw it when browse to see which one of The Android mobile phone got high score P/P. Yeah, Price per Performance Rule of thumb. ZTE Blade already launch in UK Market with nickname Orange San Fransisco on £99 ++ comes up with code gen1 but in Indonesia, ZTE Blade comes up with code gen2 w/ price $160-$170. On gen1, They have Amoled / Super LCD w/ 512mb but gen2 comes up with LCD capacitive w/ 256mb. And not just for that, ZTE Blade has twins on ZTE Wide, which runs specifically at CDMA Network.

What makes me interested because this phone is ZTE Blade’s with simple model & 800×480 on 3,5” also 270 dpi. Crisp enough on my eyes and that couldn’t come w/ a better price regards on that spec. Pretty cheap smartphone but high spec. With MSM 7227 600Mhz, Android Froyo 2.2.2, Camera 3,15MP, Wifi, HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio and if it’s not enough, ZTE Blade comes up with 1250 mAh (hold 2-3 days on normal condition on my case) and You could use Blackberry Charger instead of ZTE Blade original Charger. Impressive, huh?

Well, I’m not a game mania so I prefer to install any normal software to back up my business activity. From 3D Compass, Adobe Reader, Android Assistant (to help me make ZTE Blade efficient usage), Docs to Go, Facebook, Paper Camera (Check this app!), Angry Birds, Kaspersky Anti Virus, Springpad (to help me manage my mindset & task) and much more. You sure have a limitation to install apps, my input to You is buy SD Card w/ space minimum 4Gb, class 6++ & find application a2sd so Your installed app could run by Your SD Card.

After a month more, my ZTE Blade never let me down. Though not on 802.11n type, this ZTE Blade’s Wi fi internet speed is acceptable, and still not on un-root mode, because root mode swipe away Your guarantee. But for You that would like to move apps to SD Card without losing Your warranty, this is my simple clue to move apps to SD Card, check this out :

  1. Set USB Debugging (menu Setting – Applications – Development ) plug Your cable – download Your Android SDK (http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html) & Java Development Kit if You never install any Java related program before. After finish, Extract/Install that file maybe on default C:\Program Files\android-sdk-windows or You could choose another folder.
  2.

  3. Run sdkmanager.exe – check option 2.2 but uncheck option 1.5 ; 1.6 ; 2.1 ; 2.3 because ZTE Blade still comes in Froyo/2.2 edition. After finish, run command prompt & change folder to “platform-tools”. Type adb devices to make sure Your ZTE Blade correctly connected and found out.
  4.

  5. Type in “adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2″ to change default installation to SD Card. For Installed apps, come to menu “Setting — Applications — Manage Applications”, then “Move to SD Card” options would be activated. So You could move Your apps to SD Card.
  6.

  7. I prefer still keep Original apps (comes by ZTE Blade fresh apps) on my system memory. On SD Card, I just put in any 3rd apps.

Hope it could help. Good luck!
